TraffMobility provided traffic engineering services to support the detailed design for the rehabilitation of 15 bridges and the replacement of 3 structural culverts across Highway 416 and Highway 417 in Ontario’s Eastern Region.

As part of the study, microsimulation models were developed to evaluate construction staging impacts and optimize designs. This ensured a balance between construction requirements and minimizing disruptions to the public. TraffMobility analyzed temporary traffic signal operations to support construction staging work, supplemented by queue and delay analysis to support effective lane closure strategies.

This project underscores TraffMobility’s ability to develop innovative traffic solutions for complex infrastructure projects, ensuring safe and efficient traffic operations throughout construction while balancing stakeholder needs.

TraffMobility's team members are MTO-RAQs certified under the Traffic Engineering and Transportation (Systems) Planning categories.
